The 6th selection of students of the "China Talent Training Program" and the Inner Mongolia Commercial Capital Summer Camp activities were successfully concluded

From May 11 to 13, 2018, the 6th student selection of "China Talent Training Program" and Inner Mongolia Shangdu Summer Camp were held in Shangdu Senior High School, Shangdu County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region。The project is jointly initiated by the Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation of the Ministry of Education, the China Talent Training Fund of the China Next Generation Education Foundation and the High School affiliated to Tsinghua University。The activity has been the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Education Department Customs and Work Committee, Ulanqab City Education Bureau Customs and Work Committee, Shangdu County Party Committee Standing Committee government, Education, Science and Sports Bureau, Customs and Work Committee, Huade County Education Bureau, Customs and Work Committee, Shangdu County Senior Middle School and other leaders and teachers strongly support for the success of the entire activity。

On the afternoon of the 11th, 30 students from Shangdu County and Huade County successively came to Shangdu Senior High School for registration。Under the leadership of the lead teacher, the students received the activity materials from the teachers of the Foundation。The students were shy and timid at first, but they were curious about the new environment and the activities they were going to participate in。In the evening, the "Happy Meeting" activity, the students in the "play to learn", through the various team building activities to know themselves, make new friends, and realize the importance of teamwork。After the event, every student eliminated the nervous feeling of being a newcomer and was full of expectations for the next two days of activities。

At the opening ceremony, Director Yu Yuqing thanked the project for entering Inner Mongolia and creating opportunities for local students to study at Tsinghua High School in Beijing。She said that this is not only an opportunity for students to improve their subject knowledge and broaden their horizons, but also an opportunity and challenge for the county where the project is located to vigorously develop education。Chen Yao, deputy magistrate of the county, expressed his welcome to the project and his encouragement and expectations for the participants in the selection activity。He hopes that this activity will stimulate students' interest, broaden their knowledge and enable them to set more ambitious goals。The sincere speeches of the two leaders won warm applause from the students, and also filled their hearts with hard work and positive energy。

After the opening ceremony, the students went to the computer room of the school to take online tests on comprehensive quality, logical thinking, psychology and other aspects with the online examination system of the China Talent Development Fund。The test content examines the students' knowledge and ability level in various aspects, and has a certain understanding of the information technology level of local students。In the afternoon, the students expressed their views on the activity during the interview and expressed their hopes for the selected projects;The teachers of the Foundation also have a deeper understanding of their own study and family situation through exchanges with students。

On the afternoon of the 12th, Deputy Director Yu Yuqing, Deputy director Zhao Huijie and Secretary-General Wu Xinsheng came to visit pupils at Zongshen Primary School in Shangdu County。Most of the students there are left-behind children. Director Yu and Secretary General Wu had a cordial conversation with the primary school students, conducted an in-depth investigation of the learning situation of local primary school students by asking them about their learning and family conditions, and made a preliminary financial assistance plan for preschool students。

On the afternoon of the 13th, the students successfully held a talent show and party through two days of planning and organization。While showing their talents, they exercised their leadership, organization and expression skills, and gained a full harvest。Shangdu County Education Bureau, the Customs Work Committee and the principals and leaders of the schools where the students are located also came to the party site, gave a high evaluation of the performance organized by the students in a short period of two days, and took a photo with the students after the performance。

Although the two-day activity was short, the students formed a deep friendship。After the event, everyone took a group photo and left their contact information with each other。

The summer camp selection of Inner Mongolia Commercial Capital has achieved a complete success. The project team will use multi-dimensional selection criteria to conduct comprehensive evaluation of the students, and select 10 students to be selected into the China Talent Training Program and participate in the training of Tsinghua High School for five consecutive years。
